18.08 Kids With Buns + The Haunted Youth

On the night of the 18th of August we present to you a great double bill of promising talent.

The Haunted Youth
The Haunted Youth is the band of Hasselt-based Joachim Liebens (27), playing mesmerizing psych pop reminiscent of MGMT, DIIV, Slowdive or, we dare even say, The Cure.
The songs – about despair, hope, and the feeling of being a misunderstood misfit – are coated in a rich and dreamy international sound that will sweep you off your feet.
Debut single ‘Teen Rebel’ certainly hit the mark: The Haunted Youth won Studio Brussel’s talent contest De Nieuwe Lichting, and ‘Teen Rebel’ got a lot of airplay in Belgium and abroad. It even drew attention across the pond, where it made the front page of the well-known and influential American online magazine Consequence of Sound.
And this is all just the beginning. Wait until you hear the songs live, they will blow your mind.
The Haunted Youth is there for you and is here to stay.

Kids With Buns
Kids With Buns is the band of Marie van Uytvanck (21) and Amber Piddington (19).
With their atmospheric guitars and unique, androgynous voices, Kids With Buns creates a sound that silences venues.
Fresh songs that balance between melancholy, power and colour. With a sober open-mindedness, they arouse a feeling of security. Their music gets compared to London Grammar, Phoebe Bridgers and Girl In Red.
Live, the dynamics between the ladies ensure an intense, warm experience of their tracks.
After reaching the semi-finals of Humo’s Rock Rally 2020 and winning Studio Brussel’s ‘De Nieuwe Lichting’ they already performed on a number of big stages.
